Your role will impact the organization by:Providing support to production and maintenance teams.Implementing strategic and tactical system enhancements to give manufacturing a competitive edge.Contributing innovative ideas to new production lines in areas such as control, data collection, motive power, robotics, and communications.Strictly adhering to CGMP requirements.Enhancing compliance initiatives within your areas of responsibility.Actively participating in team meetings.Supporting engineering projects and leading actions assigned to the systems group.ResponsibilitiesProvide support to production and maintenance teams.Implement system enhancements to improve manufacturing competitiveness.Contribute ideas for new production lines (control, data collection, motive power, robotics, communications).Adhere to CGMP requirements and support compliance initiatives.Participate in team meetings and support engineering projects and actions within the systems group.QualificationsFully certified electrician or a certificate/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics.Experience with PLC programmers, motion control, sensors, inline vision systems (especially Cognex), barcode systems, network topology, PC skills, PC application software, and systematic troubleshooting/problem-solving.Experience in high-volume automation or plant control, including SCADA, Allen Bradley (ControlLogix & PLC-5), Siemens, or similar PLC programming and control.Experience working within a GMP environment.Additional QualificationsExperience with Allen-Bradley Controllogix5000 and PLC-5 programming, ControlNet/DeviceNet, Visual Basic applications, motion control programming (Sercos, AB, Emerson, Lenze), and barcode systems (SICK, DVT).Knowledge of equipment and software validation (IQ, OQ, PQ).Familiarity with FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11 and Part 820.Additional SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent teamwork abilities.Flexibility regarding shift changes, travel, training courses, and project support.TermsSalary: high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package.Shift Pattern: Days — Monday to Friday, 39 hours; or rotating 3-cycle shifts with 25% shift allowance.Location: Athlone, Ireland.Employment type: Full-time.Contact: For further information on this role in Athlone please contact Dee Curley on 086 7902191 / dee@hero.ieHow to apply: Check out all our open jobs on our HERO Recruitment website – https://www.hero.ie/Note: HERO Recruitment will not forward your details to any company without your prior approval.
