Ballinderry Nursing Home is situated in a beautiful rural setting near the village of Kilconnell, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The purpose built Nursing Home provides the highest standard of nursing care. It is a family run, private nursing home, caring for 42 Residents in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Ballinderry Nursing home has an exciting opportunity for experienced, caring and enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications/skills /Responsibilities
* Assisting residents to with their personal care/hygiene needs while always maintaining their privacy and dignity. Knowing the resident's needs and Supporting the nursing staff in delivering high quality person-centred care to meet all care needs of residents
* FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent (Ideally have completed or commenced course)
* Professional, friendly attitude and effective communication skills Experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards – preferable) and be Reliable, professional and punctual
* Assisting in the upkeep of high standards in the home and following all policies and procedures.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedure and legislative guidelines

Job description is to give the post holder an appreciation of the role and the range of duties. Given the nature of the work, that maximum flexibility is required in the nursing home.

Sunday premium: €2.00 per hour Extra
Night-Time Rate - €2.00 per hour extra
Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week
