Purpose:
To manage all stages of the Business Development/sales growth strategy through effective client management, new business capture, and proposal development while retaining and growing existing business. Lead and seek out new areas to drive revenue growth, generate new business sales, and develop the business sales strategy.
Key Roles
1. Be an HC Champion – Learn and master HC services and benefits
2. Manage an existing portfolio of customers – foster and develop relationships to expand growth
3. Proactive sales prospecting, identifying new business opportunities to drive revenue, and maintaining a solid sales pipeline to support targets
4. Prepare high-quality, well-presented visual documents
5. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasting and reporting
6. Establish and maintain accurate customer profiles in the company database (Copper CRM)
7. Identify, manage, and communicate with new clients to ensure awareness of all parties
8. Develop a 'win plan' for each opportunity – create solutions and strategies in line with customer requirements
9. Research new trends, partnerships, products, and services
10. Foster relationships with counterparts and parent company partners
11. Be innovative and creative in generating new ideas, cross-selling, upselling, and following through to completion
12. Oversee all aspects of sales generation, including proposal preparation and submission of compelling, technically accurate bids

Required Qualifications / Expertise:

1. Strong educational background or significant previous experience with high achievement in English
2. Knowledge and experience in horticulture, garden retail, and landscape services
3. 5+ years in outside sales solutions within the Irish B2B market
4. Proficiency with CRM systems
5. Well-presented with persuasive abilities
6. Proven ability to create growth-based revenue streams through expansion across multiple customer opportunities
7. Customer-centric approach; listening and developing trusted relationships to ensure customer success
8. Strong negotiation, pricing, and closing skills, including questioning, objection handling, and active listening
9. Initiative, drive, decision-making, and time management skills
10. Effective communication at senior levels across various mediums
