Job Purpose
The Training Instructor, with a strong emphasis on communication, agility and responsiveness, will support the preparation, development and delivery of practical and theoretical based Saint-Gobain product, construction best practice and sustainable industry themed training initiatives of the Saint-Gobain Technical Academy.
This role requires an practically orientated individual with suitable hands-on construction site experience, ideally in the areas of drylining or fabric first energy efficiency practices along with and associated industry knowledge of relevant building regulations and standards. Reporting to the Technical Academy Training Manager the role will primarily be based from our Kingscourt Academy with requirements to support off-site training activity and training delivered at our Dublin Academy.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting Technical Academy and Commercial Sales Teams in organising training activity with relevant stakeholders.
* Communication as necessary with training attendees before and after training activities.
* Support the team in ensuring up-to-date content on Technical Academy website, web-portal and within Salesforce CMS system.
* Support the accurate reporting of Technical Academy training activity.
* Maintaining up to date knowledge and skills of relevant regulations, standards and working practices.
* Contribute towards and support the Technical Academy in the ideation and development of maintaining existing and creation of new training initiatives.
* Transportation of training materials between Academies and for external demonstrations.
* As required, supporting the Products and Systems Team in the development of new product development as required
Qualifications
* Suitably rounded site-based experience, preferably relevant to internal dry-lining and/or fabric first energy efficiency installation practices, ideally supported by appropriate qualifications / demonstration of experience.
* ICT competence with proficiency in MS Office
Skills and Competencies
* Knowledge of, and can demonstrate safe working practices and practical operation of tools and equipment associated with their construction experience.
* Excellent communication skills –Ability to clearly convey both technical and practical orientated topics with authority to varying sized groups and audience types (stakeholder relevant).
* Reading, interpretation and communication of technical drawings.
* An eye for accuracy and detail.
* Can work well in a team environment to help deliver key results and business goals.
* Knowledge of current construction practices, ideally in the areas of dry-lining or fabric first energy efficiency.
* Basic understanding of current Building Regulations and performance attributes associated with Gyproc & Isover products and systems.
* Willingness to engage and learn new construction practices (as relevant to training initiatives), in accordance with current development, standards and regulations.

Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
