The Imperial Hotel Dundalk is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef with experience working with wood-fired ovens.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing authentic pizzas using fresh ingredients and traditional methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare high-quality pizzas using a wood-fired oven, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
Make fresh dough daily and manage proofing, stretching, and topping preparation
Maintain a clean and organised pizza station, following HACCP and food safety standards
Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
Work closely with the kitchen team and Head Chef to contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food presentation at all times
Communicate effectively in English with team members and, when needed, guests
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pizza Chef, preferably with wood-fired ovens
Strong understanding of traditional pizza preparation techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
Good level of spoken English
HACCP knowledge or certification (preferred)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
