The Imperial Hotel Dundalk is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef with experience working with wood-fired ovens. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing authentic pizzas using fresh ingredients and traditional methods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare high-quality pizzas using a wood-fired oven, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
* Make fresh dough daily and manage proofing, stretching, and topping preparation
* Maintain a clean and organised pizza station, following HACCP and food safety standards
* Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
* Work closely with the kitchen team and Head Chef to contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food presentation at all times
* Communicate effectively in English with team members and, when needed, guests
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pizza Chef, preferably with wood-fired ovens
* Strong understanding of traditional pizza preparation techniques
* Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
* Good level of spoken English
* HACCP knowledge or certification (preferred)
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
