Senior Accountant Job Description
Join a leading global alternative investments firm as a Senior Accountant in their Dublin office. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for growth and development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing journal entries, completing general ledger operations, reviewing expense reports for accuracy and compliance, and assisting with monthly closings and preparation of monthly reports.
They will also reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, prepare analysis of accounts as requested, and oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
In addition, they will assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, compile information for year-end and mid-year budgets, and prepare variance analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, proficient in GAAP and IFRS.
* Ability to prepare accurate financial statements.
* Skilled in bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Strong analytical skills to identify financial discrepancies.
* High level of accuracy in accounting computations, proficient in accounting software.
* Clear and concise communication for reporting.
