Active Disability Ireland is specifically looking to appoint a passionate, innovative and knowledgeable Marketing, Communications and Promotions Director to provide effective leadership and oversight in the areas of marketing and communications, including marketing and communication plans, communication strategies, national, regional and community engagements, media relations, crisis communications, social media developments, printed promotional materials and special events.
This Director will work to support the executive management team in the delivery of key performance indicators set out across the organisation's strategic plan.

Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership and oversight of marketing and communications.
Develop and implement marketing and communication plans, strategies and initiatives.
Lead national, regional and community engagements, media relations and crisis communications.
Oversee social media development, printed promotional materials and special events.
Support the executive management team in achieving key performance indicators set out in the strategic plan.
Represent Active Disability Ireland externally, including at board and sub‑committee meetings and performance reviews.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 to 5 years of communications and marketing experience.
Experience with the development of marketing and communication plans and various communication strategies.
Experience in developing strategic communication initiatives.
Experience working with other organisations, boards or management roles where marketing and communications were essential.
Credibility and knowledge of the Irish sporting and/or disability sectors.
Experience aligning with a strategic plan and key performance indicators.
Experience working closely with executive management to develop and implement specific communication objectives, strategies and tactics.
Experience developing press releases and other public engagement tools.
This position is voluntary, unpaid, very rewarding and will involve a commitment of approximately 6 hours per month inclusive of board and sub‑committee meetings, performance reviews and external representation.
The terms of office are 3 years, with a second and third term subject to board approval.
All reasonable expenses incurred during the fulfillment of duty will be reimbursed in line with Active Disability Ireland’s Finance and Administration Policy.
