Your New Role
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems across a range of projects from concept through to completion.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting senior engineers while taking ownership of key elements of project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for a variety of building types
Producing detailed calculations, reports, specifications and drawings
Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction stage
Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects and other design team members
Attending design team and client meetings
Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations and sustainability targets
Supporting site inspections, commissioning and project handover activities
Using industry-standard software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Revit
What You'll Need
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
3–6 years’ experience in a building services consultancy environment
Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and building systems
Experience working across multiple project stages
Familiarity with Irish / UK building regulations and standards
Proficiency in relevant design software (IES, Hevacomp, Revit, AutoCAD) - IES and Revit are highly preferential
Good communication and teamwork skills
Working towards Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
