Role DescriptionAZOROM has an ongoing contract with ESB and wishes to fill the following position.The Quality Manager will lead and implement quality assurance and control processes for major power plant overhauls. This role ensures compliance with ESB's Quality Management System (ISO 9001), project-specific Quality Plans, and statutory requirements throughout the planning, execution and close out The position is critical to delivering overhaul projects to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:Quality Planning &SystemsDevelop and maintain project-specific Quality Plans aligned with ESB standards and overhaul requirements.Communicate quality systems to project teams and contractors; ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.Integrate Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) into overhaul schedules and verify compliance.Quality Assurance & ControlConduct regular audits on safety, environment, and quality during overhaul execution.Manage non-conformance processes, corrective actions, and maintain quality records.Oversee contractor quality plans and ensure surveillance at critical hold points.Stakeholder & Contractor ManagementLiaise with Project Engineers, Contractors, and OEM specialists to ensure quality deliverables.Support Factory Acceptance Tests and site inspections for overhaul components.Lead final quality acceptance and support handover documentation for return to service.Reporting & Continuous ImprovementMaintain Quality Audit Logs and report progress to the Project Board.Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssentialMinimum 15 years' experience in quality management within power generation or processindustry.Proven track record in managing quality for major plant overhauls, including logistics and contractor oversight.Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ESB Technical Standards.Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.Strong communication, report writing skills and proficient computer skills (including MS Office)Full clean driving license(B car licence)QualificationsEssentialPrimary engineering level 8 degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant work experienceDesirableProject Management experienceLocationDublin Bay Power Plant, Pidgeon House road, Dublin 4.Anticipated Start DateAs soon as possible.DurationTwelve months.SafetyContractors must comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and requirements pertaining to the location where they are working and must comply with all directions and instructions from their designated ESB line management.Contractors shall wear full PPE, including Arc-resistant where required.Steel toe boots compliant with S3 EN ISO 20345.SafePass and manual handling trainingContractors shall be provided with an unbranded ESB hard hat and ear defenders where required.This PPE will be provided by ESB's suppliers but without any identifiable ESB Logo.The PPE to be provided by ESB does not include safety boots, gloves and eye protection. These are standard items that contractors should have at their cost.Contractors must have up to date SafePass and manual handling training.Other RequirementsThe contractor must have use of a personal 'phone, laptop/PC and internet facilities, a car, and be equipped to fully engage in a professional manner during the course of the engagement.
