Permanent Area Service manager - Disability Residential services - Galway/ West region Job Opportunity: Permanent full time Area Service manager Location: Galway/ West region Salary: €76,500-€89,000 Hours: 75 hours a fortnight Reporting to:Sector Manager, Adult West Sector. Location: Dedicated Geographic Territory Overall Objective: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Service Manager to oversee the delivery of exceptional care in the community within your assigned region. This role is pivotal to our success, offering you the opportunity to lead, inspire, and grow a team of carers while driving business expansion and service excellence. The hours are flexible to meet the demands of your role, providing you with the autonomy to manage your territory effectively. The Area Manager will be responsible for the development and overall management of the allocated Services in the West Sector. The Area Manager will ensure the day to day management of the service area, will reflect the ethos and vision of the Services, and will foster and promote this vision in their relationships with the people supported by the services, their families, staff members, and the wider community. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the service delivered meets the identified needs and wishes of the people that we support, allowing for active participation and engagement, including the management and analysis of complaints. Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement where shared learning opportunities are optimised and national/international best practice is embedded at the earliest opportunity. This will be achieved through working in collaboration with colleagues across Group. Lead and direct operational staff within services to ensure that robust people management principles are embedded so as to foster a strong cross-functional team working ethos; identification and development of emerging talent; development of a performance management culture; as well as clear communication of the team's progress in meeting its performance objectives working closely with the Head of Services. Ensure that quality and safety is at the forefront of service provision and the services delivered across the services adhere to internal and external quality and registration standards. This will be measured through participation compliance with all relevant service evaluation mechanisms applicable within services arrangements and external regulatory bodies. This will be achieved through close working with colleagues from the Quality and Governance division. Requirements: A nursing qualification, RNID/RNMH is an advantage and must be currently registered with the NMBI or a relevant third level qualification in the Health/Social Care Sector. Candidates must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Register at CORU on or before 30th November 2025. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years management experience in the Health Sector Candidates must have a management qualification. Candidates should have budgetary/financial, employee relations and team management experience. Candidates must hold a full clean Irish manual driving licence. Proficiency in the Irish language. However, if you are not proficient in the Irish language, the services will support you to develop your proficiency with Irish language classes.
