A well-established engineering company in Ireland is hiring a Project Manager to lead and deliver key water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
This is a permanent position based in Co. Carlow, with regular site visits depending on the project.
This role offers the opportunity to manage the full project lifecycle, from early design to handover, across technically challenging and high-impact environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver full project lifecycle (design, procurement, delivery, handover)
Develop designs, technical reports, and construction drawings
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Prepare and manage contract programmes, technical submissions, and risk assessments
Supervise on-site works, including subcontractors and directly employed trades
Coordinate resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Monitor financial progress, track variations and maintain quality/safety compliance
Compile and manage all contract documentation including O&M manuals and site safety files
Attend safety audits and conduct site surveys
What You'll Need:
10+ years of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience, including Project Engineering
Knowledge of water/wastewater infrastructure (preferred but not essential)
Hands-on experience in plant design, construction and commissioning
Strong skills in project delivery, contractor management, and documentation
Familiarity with AutoCAD and ability to coordinate vendor drawings
Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
Comfortable with hybrid work and regular site travel from the Carlow office
