We focus on platform management services, continuously evaluating infrastructure and operations to ensure efficiency and precision. Our expertise in IaaS and PaaS, combined with repeatable and portable delivery models, enables the rapid and secure deployment of applications.
Within CCPS, the Cloud Software & Solutions (CSS) group designs and develops cloud platform solutions with an emphasis on quality, stability, simplification, user experience, scalability, performance, and portability. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and build scalable cloud-native applications and services.
Your Impact
Pipeline Automation: Involve in the development of automated workflows using Ansible.
Security Compliance: Implement and maintain Security (Security Technical Implementation Guides) hardening standards across all infrastructure components to ensure compliance with Cisco’s enterprise security requirements.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional development and security teams to integrate automated security checks and deployment pipelines into the CI/CD lifecycle.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level support for production issues related to OS.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years (BS) or 1+ years (MS) of experience in software development or cloud/platform engineering roles.
Python Development: Proficiency in Python for developing custom automation tools, API integrations, and system utilities.
Linux Expertise: Deep proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL/Ubuntu/Win), including advanced shell scripting, performance monitoring, and system-level debugging.
Automation Proficiency: Extensive experience in Ansible scripting for configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, and automated patching.
Security Mindset: Strong understanding of security principles and proven experience in applying security hardening to production systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Containerization: Hands‑on experience building and maintaining Docker containers and managing complex Kubernetes clusters in production.
Cloud & CI/CD: Experience with hybrid‑cloud infrastructure and integrating security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders in a global environment.
