Overview
AI Data Analyst (Fixed Term Contract) role at Equifax. This is a fixed term role until 12/2026 with the potential to extend or convert to permanent. The position is based in Wexford, Ireland, and involves developing AI solutions through data analysis, data management and data science to deliver analytical insights and solutions.
Accountable for the data and insight strategy and its execution for the company. Provides thought leadership on the use and application of data and analytics for competitive advantage. Demonstrates a genuine passion for innovation and AI. Familiarity with artificial intelligence and how it can improve process efficiency, effectiveness and products.
What you’ll do
* Work independently within Data and Analytics with limited design help from manager or senior associates
* Leverage coding best practices and advanced techniques to ensure efficient execution of code against large datasets, ensuring code is repeatable and scalable
* Run, create and optimize standard processes to ensure metrics, reports and insights are delivered consistently to stakeholders with minimal manual intervention
* Prepare data for ingestion efforts, analysis, assembling data from disparate data sources for insights; integrate new and complex data sources
* Integrate Equifax, customer and third party data to solve internal or customer analytical problems of moderate complexity and report findings to managers and stakeholders
* Review output of code for anomalies and perform analysis to determine cause; work with Data, Analytics, Product and Technology teams to implement corrective measures
* Communicate impacts and importance of findings on the business and recommend appropriate actions; relate quantitative and qualitative data to show value of analysis
* Ensure proper use of Equifax data assets by working with data governance and compliance professionals
* Gather and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability, with awareness of ethical considerations
What experience you need
* BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent
* 2-5 years of experience in a related analyst role
* Cloud certification strongly preferred
* Technical capabilities including SQL, BigQuery, R, Python, MS Excel / Google Sheets, Tableau, Looker
* Experience working as part of a team producing descriptive and diagnostic analysis
What could set you apart
* Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or related discipline
* Knowledge of the financial services industry
* Contributions to open-source AI projects
* Experience with data visualization tools
