We currently have a vacancy for a Product Support Engineer, the role will involve the following:
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Associate Remote Care Product Engineer is responsible for understanding the integrated set of standards, sub-standards, and assemblies needed to provide remote care support for Abbott CRMD devices. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a life-cycle balanced system of systems and system/subsystems solution(s) which satisfies customer/operational needs and public/regulatory acceptability.
Troubleshooting complex systems and interactions with the full line of remote care capable Abbott devices and supporting hardware will be the primary focus.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in system, software, hardware testing planning reviews to support assessment of performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.
Assist in troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and identifying possible solutions.
On a 24-hour “on call basis” (rotating between other department employees), provides technical support services (once every two months for one week)
Provide support for mobile apps, mobile device hardware and work with mobile service providers to maintain and trouble shoot field issues.
Apply process and work methodologies by interfacing and communicating system level issues with peers/cross-functional groups.
Education
Bachelors Degree (± 5 years)
Biomedical Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related Bachelor's degree. or related field or Experience Related
Experience
Technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought.
Experience with system analysis and cross-functional teamwork and decision making.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualification: Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles; ability to apply Systems Engineering principles to assigned task or activity.
