Senior Azure & Windows Administrator

Location: Letterkenny (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)
The Role
Eir evo talent are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure & Windows Administrator to manage and support our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure services, Windows Server environments, and Active Directory administration, with a strong focus on security, automation, and performance optimization.
Key responsibilities
* Azure Administration:
o Manage and monitor Azure resources including VMs, storage accounts, networking, and security groups.
o Implement and maintain Azure policies, RBAC, and cost management strategies.
o Configure and manage Azure AD, including identity protection, conditional access, and hybrid identity.
o Automate tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.
* Windows Server Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
o Perform patch management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
o Manage DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
* Active Directory Administration:
o Design and maintain AD infrastructure including forests, domains, trusts, and replication.
o Manage user accounts, OU structures, and group policies.
o Implement AD security best practices and audit policies.
* Security & Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
o Implement security controls and monitor for vulnerabilities.
o Collaborate with InfoSec teams for incident response and risk mitigation.
* Documentation & Collaboration:
o Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Networking, and Support.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Extensive experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
* Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
* Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Azure AD Connect.
* Familiarity with backup solutions, monitoring tools, and disaster recovery planning.
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Desirable certifications/knowledge/experience:
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
* Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
* Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
