Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Security Officer to join our IT Security Team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in FBD House, Bluebell. The role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer.
Job Responsibilities
* Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
* Identify and define system security requirements.
* Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cybersecurity designs.
* Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
* Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
* Participate in Security Incident management, including leading meetings to address issues.
* Write comprehensive reports including assessments, outcomes, and proposals for security enhancements.
* Assist with Security awareness initiatives, including training, material development, and presentations at town halls and to senior management.
* Report to senior management, maintain risk control registers, and support external and internal audits.
Education
* CISSP or CISM certification and other security qualifications.
* Qualifications in Azure/O365 and other security-related certifications.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Security Engineer or Information Security Architect.
* In-depth knowledge of Azure/O365 security practices.
* Experience with email security tools, data classification, and DLP technology.
* Familiarity with web technologies, protocols, and web services.
* Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
* Strong knowledge of database and OS security.
* Scripting experience in a Windows environment is an advantage.
* Understanding of security principles, techniques, and protocols.
* Knowledge of PCI, EIOPA, DORA regulations.
* Experience working in regulated environments and with third-party infrastructure providers.
* Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001 and Cobit.
* Problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
* Negotiation skills, motivation, results-focus, and team spirit.
* People management skills and ability to present to C-suite executives.

This role is within the Manager/Specialist pay grade in the IT department.
