Health, Safety & Environmental Lead
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with expertise in health, safety, and environmental management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all sites across Ireland.
About the Role
1. Strategic Safety Leadership - Collaborate with senior management to implement departmental HSE action plans.
2. Regulatory Compliance - Develop and maintain health and safety management systems in line with legislation and ISO standards.
3. Audits & Compliance - Conduct audits, identify risks, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
4. Risk Assessments - Support and review risk assessments, including chemical safety evaluations.
5. Project Management - Lead or support HSE-related continuous improvement projects.
6. Training & Awareness - Ensure HSE training programs are delivered and records maintained.
7. Policies & Procedures - Develop safety manuals, procedures, and checklists.
8. Continuous Improvement - Work with teams to enhance safety, sustainability, and environmental standards.
9. Incident Investigation - Analyze accidents/incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
Requirements
* A L8 in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) qualification, along with a NEBOSH Diploma (minimum requirement).
* At least three year's experience in HSE, advising on legislation and ISO standards.
* Experience with ISO 17020.
* Human Factors Engineering (HFE) assessments.
* Internal/Lead Auditor qualifications.
