Job Description
Full‑time, permanent position. Shift work required: biweekly rotating shift pattern: 07:00–19:00; Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday.
As a QC Shift Team Lead you lead a Professional Scientific Services (PSS) team of analytical staff to ensure highest quality and productivity standards, maintain high morale and retention, and meet or exceed client expectations under the supervision of the PSS Group Lead.
Responsibilities
Partner with the PSS Group Lead to inspire and lead the PSS team, driving operational excellence across productivity, quality, documentation, safety, housekeeping, and full GMP compliance.
Deliver outstanding customer service by embedding best practice, upholding 100% ethical working standards, and ensuring all work meets the highest commercial and quality expectations.
Develop and engage the team through coaching, training, performance management, appraisals and recognition, fostering a positive, high‑performing culture aligned with Eurofins values.
Act as a key point of contact for both the client and the PSS team, ensuring clear communication, effective planning, flexible resourcing and consistent achievement of agreed service levels.
Provide strong technical and quality leadership, overseeing risk assessments, validation activities, GMP data review, investigations, SOP authoring and timely approval of accurate, compliant documentation.
Champion a safe, efficient and audit‑ready laboratory environment, ensuring EHS best practice, equipment maintenance, supply management and a continuous improvement mindset across all on‑site activities.
Qualifications
Relevant scientific qualification, ideally degree level or higher, in a suitable discipline.
Proven experience working within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical laboratory, with a clear understanding of regulatory expectations, compliance and data integrity.
Strong knowledge of GMP and Microbiology, with an understanding of Chemistry considered an advantage.
Passionate about quality and customer service, consistently striving to meet or exceed client expectations while upholding Eurofins’ ethical, scientific and professional standards.
Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, colleagues and stakeholders, and the ability to represent Eurofins professionally at all times.
Flexible, organised and detail‑focused team player, capable of managing changing priorities, maintaining accurate documentation and contributing positively to a high‑performing, compliant laboratory environment.
