Role:Chef De Partie (Monday to Friday)Location:Cork, IrelandSalary:€16-€17 per hourAbout the RoleWe are recruiting a motivated and experienced Chef de Partie to join the culinary team within a major on-site catering operation at a large tech campus in Cork. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, professional kitchen environment, delivering outstanding food service to a diverse client group, whilst working for a recognised contract catering partner.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage a designated section of the kitchen, delivering consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and service.Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu execution and food cost control, ensuring the achievement of budgeted gross profit margins and minimisation of waste.Receive, inspect and sign off food deliveries in accordance with approved supplier lists; ensure all produce meets the agreed quality specifications.Maintain full compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH, Health & Safety legislation and site-specific policies at all times.Lead and coach team members within the section, providing training, feedback and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations.Ensure opening, closing and shift-handover checklists are completed accurately; participate in cost-control and stock-take activities as required.Work flexibly as part of the wider catering operation, supporting events, banqueting and high-volume service as the business requires.Uphold brand standards, innovating within your section to maintain creativity, consistency and quality in every dish.Person Specification / RequirementsRecognised culinary qualification (or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen).Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) working as a Chef de Partie or similar within a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, kitchen health & safety and section management.Good cost awareness: proven ability to work to food cost budgets, control waste and negotiate with suppliers.Excellent team working and communication skills; able to supervise junior chefs and work collaboratively with the wider team.Highly organised with strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload under pressure.Flexibility with working hours (rotating shifts, early starts and/or weekend work as required).A proactive and self-motivated attitude; committed to maintaining high standards of personal hygiene, grooming and professionalism.What's on OfferPermanent, full-time position at a prestigious and well-resourced site in Cork.Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and benefits package aligned to industry standards.Free or subsidised staff meals, uniform, and subsidised onsite parking (subject to site policy).Career progression opportunities within the contract catering business and access to training and development programmes.Opportunity to work with a major international catering company in a modern kitchen environment with excellent facilities.
