Job Title: Stock Controller (Branch-Level)
Location:
* Primarily based in Monaghan, with travel required between our 3 branches, Monaghan, Carrickmacross, and Cavan.
Reports To:
* General Manager
* Regular liaison with Purchasing Manager, Sales Manager, and Warehouse Operations.

Our product range of around 10,000 SKUs caters to electrical contractors, industrial facilities, and domestic customers. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality products, excellent customer service, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Inventory Management
* Maintain accurate stock levels in all branches to prevent shortages (stock-outs) and overstock situations.
* Conduct regular and systematic inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with the Intact iQ inventory management system.
* Monitor and adjust minimum/maximum stock levels to meet customer demand efficiently.
* Stock Control & Accuracy
* Ensure that on-shelf quantities match system records, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
* Develop and implement processes to minimize inventory shrinkage and manage obsolete or slow-moving stock.
* Goods Receiving & Coordination
* Oversee the receiving process, ensuring that incoming goods are accurately checked, documented, and stored.
* Coordinate with branch-level teams to ensure proper labelling, placement, and rotation of stock (FIFO or other relevant methods).
* Supplier & Order Liaison
* Work closely with the Purchasing and Sales Managers to forecast demand, agree orders, and maintain good supplier relationships.
* Monitor supplier lead times, negotiate delivery schedules where necessary, and track order progress to ensure timely restocking.
* Branch Stock Controller (Operational Role): Collaborate with internal warehouse teams to organize, count, receive, and request orders as needed.
* Data Management & Reporting
* Utilize the Intact iQ system to update and maintain accurate inventory data, generate reports, and identify trends.
* Provide regular stock status updates to management, highlighting potential issues, risks, or opportunities.
* Operational Efficiency & Compliance
* Champion best practices in warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
* Assist in developing and refining SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for inventory handling and stock control processes.
* Performance Metrics & Goals
* Achieve high levels of stock accuracy (minimize variances) and limit emergency branch transfers.
* Maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring product availability and prompt order fulfillment.
* Contribute to a clean, organized warehouse environment that meets all safety and operational standards.
* Travel & Schedule
* Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday or overtime work if necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
* Education: No formal educational requirement; however, candidates with relevant experience or vocational training will be at an advantage.
* Experience:
* Previous experience in inventory or stock control—preferably in an electrical wholesale, distribution, or a similar environment.
* Experience as an electrican or similar would also be an advantage.
* Software & Technical Skills:
* Proficient computer literacy is essential. Experience using Intact iQ or a comparable ERP system is advantageous.
* Full, clean driving licence (required for traveling between branches in the Group role).

* Stock Accuracy: Minimal variance between physical counts and system records.
* Availability & Stock Turn: Low incidence of stock-outs and optimized stock levels (reducing unnecessary holding costs).
* Inventory Efficiency: Reduced necessity for cross-branch transfers due to accurate forecasting and replenishment.
* Warehouse Standards: Maintenance of a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
* Customer Satisfaction: Positive feedback and minimal order delays or inaccuracies.
