Your new role
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing multiple sites at one time to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be liaising with design teams, architects, sub-contractors and management. You will be overlooking the procedures on multiple sites and maintaining open communication from site managers and project managers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and coordinating all contractual aspects of multiple construction projects.
2. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and management team to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
4. Monitoring project progress and preparing detailed reports for senior management.
5. Resolving any contractual disputes or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
6. Implementing and maintaining effective contract management processes and procedures.
7. Leading and mentoring a team of site managers and other project staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
8. Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or an experienced Project Manager in the house building or construction industry.
9. Strong knowledge of contract law, construction processes, and project management.
10. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
11. Experienced with Microsoft and I.T.
12. Be confident in creating reports.
13. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
14. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
15. Relevant qualifications in construction management, contract law, or a related field.
16. Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
17. A valid driving licence and the ability to travel to various sites as required.
