About the Role We're seeking a Future Power Markets Senior Lead Analyst to lead strategic market analysis and play a central role in shaping the future of the power system. You'll oversee complex data-driven projects, develop forward-looking market insights, and help influence decisions that support the transition to renewable energy and carbon neutrality. This position sits within a directorate of highly skilled professionals focused on electricity market development and system innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of analysts supporting market transition initiatives and strategic energy projects. Develop and refine data models to forecast market trends and electricity price dynamics. Deliver high-quality research and scenario analysis to inform executive decision-making. Support implementation of strategic pillars aligned with future grid development. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to present insights and influence direction. Drive innovation in analytical methods and ensure continuous improvement. Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and clear communications for senior leaders. Essential Criteria A degree in data science, economics, power systems, or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in energy sector analysis or modelling. Strong command of analytical tools (Python, R, Excel). Proven experience leading analytical teams and managing major projects. Confident communicator with experience presenting technical findings to diverse stakeholders. Desirable Criteria Experience with the Irish Single Electricity Market (SEM), European markets, or TSOs. Familiarity with electricity market operations and regulation. Knowledge of market modelling tools (e.g., Plexos). Understanding of decarbonisation policies and renewable integration. Experience with network codes, market codes, and compliance frameworks. Track record of collaborative, multi-disciplinary project work.
