Automation Engineer

Our client is a market leader in the implementation of DeltaV in Ireland. Due to an expansion of projects they are seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities
Drafting and managing Automation Change Packs (ACPs) for system modifications.
Updating design specifications and all related documentation to align with changes made on the DeltaV System.
Meeting with Process Engineers and other key stakeholders to define and agree on changes to be implemented on the production system.
Developing and configuring phases, recipes, equipment module instances, and control module instances within the DeltaV environment.
Leading and supporting Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) activities for new equipment across multiple production suites.
Testing changes and C&Q procedures as defined in the Automation Change Packs.
Implementing and managing configuration changes to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Experience
An Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) or Instrumentation & Control (I&C) background is preferable.
Strong, hands‑on experience with Emerson DeltaV system configuration and development.
Proven experience in drafting and executing Automation Change Packs (ACPs) in a regulated environment.
Practical knowledge of developing control modules, equipment modules, phases, and recipes.
Direct experience with Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) activities for automated systems.
The ability to collaborate effectively with Process Engineers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into system functionality.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a keen attention to detail for system documentation.
