Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Piano Teacher located in Leixlip. The Piano Teacher will be responsible for providing piano education and enhancing students' piano playing skills. The role has potential to grow from the current position teaching classes on Thursday and Fridays through the school terms.
The Successful Candidate
Will be an experienced teacher with a track record of bringing students of all levels forward, including helping students prepare for their RIAM Grade 8 exams. They will be a mentor and inspiration to their students. They will teach with empathy, from the perspective of each student, and know when to move students along. The successful candidate will be a leader in the studio and be comfortable enough to use the best of their personality to encourage their students.
Qualifications
* Piano Playing and Music Theory skills
* Piano Education and Music Education knowledge
* Experience in teaching piano
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire students
* Certification in Music Education
* Relevant teaching qualifications
* Experience teaching students from beginner to advanced skill levels
* Experience teaching both adults and children
* A student-centered philosophy
* Excellent verbal communication skills in English
* Experience with Grade Exams
* Motivated, independent educator who is a responsible self-starter, confident to demonstrate initiative
* Disciplined time keeper and organiser
Duties
* To be prepared for classes
* Be on time well before classes begin and ready for the first class of the day
* Responsible for managing your schedule on our online school calendar (Acuity)
* Building and nurturing relationships
* Deal directly with students and/or the parents/guardians of students professionally
* May be required to open and/or close/lock up
