Job Type Temporary Full-Time Location Kilkenny, County Kilkenny, Ireland Job Details Vhi Insurance DAC have a full-time temporary role (12 months) for the position of an L&D specialist based in Kilkenny (hybrid working). The successful candidate will support the Learning and Development function in the design, development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of training content delivery and the LMS. They will provide training and system governance support to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across all learning activities along with contributing to the creation, coordination and delivery of learning solutions that build capability, enhance productivity and quality, and strengthen employee engagement across the organisation. The successful candidate must be an Accredited Product Advisor (APA/ CIP or Dip PMI) or willing to undertake same. What will you do: (a full job spec is available on request) Support the end-to-end design and development of high-quality training materials including presentations, guides, assessments, and digital learning content from training needs analysis through to content deliver/publishing. Deliver individual and group training sessions (where required). Contribute to the development and maintenance of assessment requirements. Assist with blended learning approaches, including eLearning, classroom, and virtual delivery methods. Support training co-ordination (scheduling, coordination of training sessions, including room booking, communications, and preparation of materials). Support training records, attendance logs, and compliance documentation Ensure training documentation is prepared, stored, and updated in line with L&D standards. Upload and maintain content, curricula, and learning pathways in the Learning Management System. Run recurring and ad-hoc LMS reports for stakeholders. Support learner queries and resolve system-related access issues, escalating as necessary. Ensure data integrity and consistency across digital learning platforms. Track and report on training activity, attendance, and completion metrics. Support/Conduct evaluations to measure training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Support quality and compliance requirements across L&D processes. Recommend improvements to training approaches, materials, and delivery method What will you need to be successful: Minimum 2 years' experience in Learning & Development, or corporate training, with hands-on involvement across the full training lifecycle from needs analysis through to design, development, delivery, publishing, and evaluation. Proven experience developing high-quality learning materials, including presentations, participant guides, assessments, digital learning assets, and blended learning solutions (eLearning, virtual classroom, and in-person training). Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including uploading and maintaining content, managing curricula or learning pathways, running reports, and supporting learner access or system-related queries. Demonstrated experience supporting training coordination, including scheduling, communications, preparation of materials, attendance logging, and maintenance of training records and compliance documentation. Experience measuring training effectiveness, gathering learner feedback, analysing training data, and contributing to continuous improvement of learning solutions and processes. Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs, clarify requirements, and deliver learning interventions that support capability development across the organisation. Strong proficiency with MS Office and content creation tools, with the ability to produce professional, accurate, and engaging training materials.
