Accountant Position Overview

We seek an experienced Accountant to take on key financial and administrative responsibilities in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare annual financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns for clients.
* Handle corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
* Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
* Support partners in delivering advisory services to SMEs and sole traders.
* Liaise directly with clients, providing timely responses to queries.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation.
* Assist with audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
* Maintain accurate, organised, and confidential client records.


Requirements:

* A recognised professional accountancy qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (fully qualified or part-qualified, depending on the role).
* A relevant degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (not always essential but common).
* Up-to-date CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to maintain membership and stay current with regulations.
