Financial Accountant,Reports to:Group Financial ControllerMy client is a fast growing fmcg company, with a global reach.Location:Dublin 2Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the business across financial reporting, month-end close and core accounting processes. This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to an SME finance function, with opportunities to develop technical expertise, commercial awareness and experience within the FMCG sector.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation of monthly management accountsAssist with the month-end close process, including journals and accrualsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesSupport monthly sales and margin reporting by product, brand, customer and regionAssist with discount and promotional analysisSupport product cost analysisAssist with intercompany accounting and reconciliationsSupport working capital management, including receivables, payables and inventoryAssist with cashflow reporting and forecastingSupport VAT, Corporation Tax and other tax filingsAssist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and valuationsSupport statutory audit processes and respond to information requestsMaintain accurate financial data within the ERP systemSupport the continuous improvement of financial processes and controlsCollaborate with commercial, operations and marketing teamsSupport ad-hoc finance projects and business initiatives as requiredThe personFully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), with 1-3 years' pqe in industryStrong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced SME environmentWillingness to learn, take ownership and develop within the roleStrong Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsSalary:€65k - €75k plus benefits.Hybrid working, 3 days on site
