Overview
We are seeking a Senior Wintel Server Engineer / Administrator to join a large enterprise IT Infrastructure team. The role involves supporting and enhancing a complex, predominantly virtualised Windows environment and working closely with infrastructure, network, application, and cloud teams.
Key Responsibilities
Administration and support of Windows Server environments
Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and core Windows services support
VMware virtual infrastructure administration (VM creation, configuration, optimisation)
Physical server and SAN storage management (Dell environments)
Management of Veeam Backup & Recovery
SCCM administration and device deployment
Server patching, OS upgrades, monitoring, and security hardening
Capacity planning and performance analysis
Support on-prem to cloud initiatives (Microsoft 365 / Azure)
PowerShell scripting for automation
Technical documentation and change management
Provide guidance and support to junior team members
Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery activities
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years’ experience in a senior Wintel / Windows Server role
Strong experience with:
Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, IIS
VMware virtualisation
SCCM and enterprise system management tools
Experience with patch management, clustering, system monitoring, and security
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience working in large enterprise environments
Qualifications & Certifications
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Veeam
