We are now recruiting a Senior Health Care Assistant to join the care team in Droimnin Nursing Home in Co Laois.
The Senior Health Care Assistant will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards of care practiced in the relevant care setting. They will undertake the day to day running of the HCA team allocated to their area under the direction of the unit CNM or Nurse in charge. In addition, the Senior Health Care Assistant will provide holistic, person centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Requirements
Hold a minimum QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent;
At least 2 year' experience in care of the older person or comparable role is desirable;
Demonstrable leadership skills;
Good level of IT skills;
Familiarity of EpicCare platform is advantageous;
Must be of professional, caring and empathetic nature;
Good standard of verbal and written English;
Eligibility to work in Ireland is essential.
