We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Client-focused Finance team as a Sales Order Processing & Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of sales orders for key clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Order Processing (Key Responsibility): Accurately process and manage all sales orders from receipt to fulfillment, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.
* Liaise proactively with customers, warehouse, and internal teams to resolve order issues and ensure timely delivery.
* Monitor order status and follow up on outstanding or delayed orders to maintain high customer satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate records of all sales orders and related documentation.
Accounts Payable and Related Duties
* Accounts Payable Invoice Processing: Code, match, obtain approval, and enter a large volume of purchase invoices for clients daily using ERP software, ensuring adherence to necessary controls.
* AP Query Management: Manage the accounts payable query inbox for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all emails are responded to promptly.
* Supplier Liaison: Maintain good relationships with suppliers in various countries by effective communication.
* Employee Expense Analysis: Analyze and process employee expenses for payment.
* Bank Account Administration: Upload payments on bank accounts and match bank payments to vendor invoices.
* General AP Duties: Perform general accounts payable duties as required, including filing and archiving.
* Mailbox Management: Management and maintenance of shared mailbox(es).
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience in Sales Order Processing within a fast-paced environment
* Minimum of 3 years’ Accounts Payable experience in a busy accounts role
* A qualification in a business-related field is preferable
* Experience in processing large volumes of invoices and data on Excel, with a high degree of accuracy
* Strong numeracy and competent basic accounting skills
* Basic understanding of VAT is advantageous, though not essential
* Experience with cloud based accounting packages
* Excellent computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions
* Have an analytical mindset
* Excellent organization skills and detail-oriented
* Proven commitment to achieving deadlines
* Strong deadline and task management
* Ability to work independently on projects but can still work as part of a team
* Cultivate new automated processes for clients
