Role Overview:
The Part/Newly Qualified Accountant will assist in implementing robust financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in accounting who are either recently qualified or progressing toward their ACA, ACCA, or AITA qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monthly supplier account reconciliation
2. Accounts receivable – raising customer invoices and reconciliation of accounts
3. Fixed asset accounting
4. Posting bank and credit card transactions to the accounting system
5. General ledger postings and review of profit and loss accounts/expenditure analysis
6. Assistance with preparation of VAT returns
7. Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
1. Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA, or AITA with a strong understanding of financial principles.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
3. Experience in accounting software systems and ERP systems.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
8. Experience in the automation or manufacturing industry.
9. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to the industry.
