Green Isle Foods is now recruiting for an experienced Quality / QA Supervisor to join our growing team.
This will be based at our site in Gurteen, Co Sligo.
The role will be primarily Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, but flexible working hours can be discussed.
The overall duties will include working alongside the Quality Manager while managing the quality control and hygiene team.
Responsibilities include:
* The creation of training plans regarding quality and safety.
* Scheduling external training for employees on a regular basis.
* Take ownership over leading and managing a team of QA and hygiene operatives.
* Work with the production team leaders in all aspects of quality assurance.
* Ensure that quality assurance programs are focused around HACCP procedures.
* Carries out and assists with audits on a regular basis, ensuring non-conformances are closed out in expected time frame.
* Collaborates with the Quality Manager to ensure customer and BRC audits are carried out as smoothly as possible.
* Support production team in producing safe, high-quality products to customers.
* Inspect potential foreign materials, product performance, ingredient, or packaging material problems that could endanger food safety or jeopardize the product's quality or integrity.
* Ensure that the quality of raw materials and finished product comply with the agreed specifications.
* Assist with the overall C.I project / plan in order to raise quality standards.
* Any Adhoc duties that may apply.
Some requirements:
* Hold an aspect of experience in a Quality role preferably within the FMCG / Food manufacturing industry.
* Good understanding of food safety legislation.
* HACCP training / understanding is preferred.
* A good level of competency of MS packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Hold experience in audits such as BRC would be preferred.
