We are seeking an ambitious part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA) to join our finance team in a busy and dynamic motor dealership group. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad industry experience, with full support and clear scope to progress within the business.
Whether you're close to qualification, recently qualified, or have 2-3 years' PQE, this role offers exposure to all areas of dealership operations and the chance to play a key role in financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and support year-end audit processes.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts, oversee ledgers, and monitor cash flow.
* Produce accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and daily performance updates.
* Manage payroll, revenue returns, VRT, commission reporting, demo invoicing, and fleet claims.
* Liaise with Sales, Aftersales, and Parts Managers, as well as external suppliers, finance providers, and auditors.
* Support stock management and ensure accurate processing of vehicle sales and financing.
* Maintain and develop the Dealer Management System (Kerridge/CDK) in coordination with IT support.
* Assist senior management in shaping strategy through insightful analysis and reporting.
* Take on ad hoc duties and projects as required.
The Ideal Candidate
* Part-qualified, newly qualified, or up to 2-3 years' PQE (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA).
* Strong technical accounting skills and commercial awareness.
* Excellent Excel and financial reporting ability.
* Experience with Kerridge/CDK or similar dealership systems desirable.
* Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive attitude.
* Motor industry experience is an advantage, but not essential.
