This will require enhancing our innovation processes, refining our design and delivery approaches to deliver an integrated and comprehensive portfolio that enables product development excellence across ACM.The Principal Advanced Test Engineer will join the ACM OU OPS team to ensure a seamless transition of new products from R&D to Manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with R&D to understand product design requirements, development of test specifications & requirements for functional testing, to support production launches. The Principal Advanced Test Engineer will also implement Operational Excellence test tools and processes. Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.***Come for a job, stay for a career!*****A Day in The Life Of:**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.* Designs and develops automated test systems for electronic based products* Develops test specifications & requirements for Functional Test Processes* Provides timely test support on new product development in readiness for launch* Troubleshoots Test Failures and proposes efficient and quality-driven solutions* Provides detailed feedback and analysis on Test Yields throughout the NPD process* Maintains and repairs electronic and mechanical test systems* Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement on existing Test Systems/Processes and Validates Test Systems## **Key Skills & Experience*** Level 8 Degree in Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Electronic Design and / or Test Development OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience* Experience with Product Development, Test Automation and Embedded Systems* Ability to interpret Circuit Diagrams and PCB schematics* Working knowledge of analog/digital electronics essential* Experience with equipment development and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)* Project Management skills including Gantt charts* Experience working with suppliers including managing project deliverables* Team dynamic skills (communication, accountability, decision-making, feedback, meeting management, managing conflict)* Problem solving and root cause analysis for improvements or non-conformances**Nice to Have*** Medical Device experience* Experience with Labview* Verbal, written and presentation skills.* Technical writing skills & updating documentation and procedures.* Strong statistical skills using Minitab.* Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.* Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, Project, Visio, and Word* Knowledge of capital project budgets including forecasting and quoting a plus* Experience developing statements of work, project charters, and project plans**Medtronic offer a competitive salary and flexible Benefits Package****#IJA #INDS****Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.# **Benefits & Compensation****Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
