Head Chef with high volume experience for upscale local favourite This popular destination offering upscale dining with a seafood focus is currently recruiting a Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of their very busy kitchen. Key responsibilities: Food service (timely delivery of orders, menu briefings with FOH staff, liaising with FOH staff on any issues) Staff training and management (rosters, recruitment, performance reviews) Kitchen maintenance, hygiene and HACCP (food management systems and records, checklists, equipment maintenance) Kitchen financials (menu costing, labour costs, invoicing, waste management) Stock management (ordering, pricing, stock levels, rotation) Sales management (liaising with Restaurant Manager and GM on menu planning & development) The ideal candidate: Minimum of 5years experience as Head Chef of an upmarket restaurant with very busy trade Proven track record of maintaining a smooth and efficient food service Positive team training and management skills Keen financial acumen Genuine dedication to customer service Awareness of culinary/F&B trends Seafood knowledge/experience Good IT skills (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) Credentials in health and safety training Send in your CV today to apply for this role!
