You'll shape the product strategy from idea to execution, making sure our ranges are on-trend, unique, and performing commercially, both in-store and online. Dublin or Cork locations.Salary package:Generous salary and benefits packageResponsibilities as Head of Buying include:Lead the strategic direction for all product categories, including own brand development, ensuring alignment across buying, design, pricing, and sourcing.Drive commercial performance by using data, market insights, and trading trends to guide decisions, optimise stock levels, and deliver financial targets.Oversee the full buying process, from calendar planning and supplier negotiations to procurement and timely delivery across all sales channels.Champion a unique, trend-led product offer that reflects the company’s values around design, quality, price, and sustainability.Collaborate cross-functionally with retail, e-commerce, merchandising, and marketing teams to enhance the customer journey and product presentation.Foster strong supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms that support growth, efficiency, and innovation.Inspire and lead a high-performing buying team, setting clear goals, nurturing creativity, and driving continuous improvement.Skills and qualities required for this Head of Buying job include:Proven expertise in product development, from concept to launch, with strong experience in Own Brand strategy.Commercially driven leader with 5+ years in senior buying roles and a track record of driving growth.Strong people manager with the ability to mentor, influence, and develop high-performing teams.Skilled in sourcing, supply chain, and inventory management, with solid supplier relationships.Excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills, tech proficiency, and a trend-led, customer-focused mindset.Aoife Clarke is handling the recruitment for this role in complete confidentiality.
