The Role
1. Prepare dishes or ingredients as directed by the Executive Head Chef or Sous Chef.
2. Assist in different sections of the kitchen at the discretion of the Executive Head Chef.
3. Prepare dishes for service from start to finish as requested.
4. Ensure mise en place is ready for service and aligns with forecasted business levels.
5. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work areas at all times.
6. Assist with food deliveries, ensuring hygienic and safe handling.
7. Minimize food waste through proper measures.
8. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to complete tasks.
9. Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment in line with HACCP standards.
10. Ensure food presentation meets the standards set by the Executive Head Chef.
11. Collaborate with the team to meet guest requests efficiently.
12. Support the management of labor and food costs by meeting targets.
13. Adhere to grooming standards as per hotel policy.
