Purpose of the Role
The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist will deliver timely recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment for a range of social and health care roles, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, social care standards, and Embrace Values. The role will make an important contribution to workforce planning, candidate attraction, and onboarding, helping to ensure high-quality staffing across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full recruitment cycle: advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring recruitment is efficient and timely in line with organisational need.
* Develop and implement candidate attraction strategies, including local and international campaigns within budget and as efficiently as possible.
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, HSE guidelines, GDPR, and Irish employment law and Embrace Values
* Screen CVs, conduct interviews, and coordinate selection processes with hiring managers.
* Partner with the People team, department leads, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and external agencies to address staffing requirements.
* Manage pre-employment checks (references, Garda vetting, NMBI/IMC/CORU registration).
* Support the onboarding and induction process for new hires.
* Promote the organisation's employer brand through job boards, social media, and career events as an Embrace Ambassador
* Provide recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, retention rates) to management.
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at recruitment efficiency, diversity, and retention.
* Liaise with colleges and universities to attract and create a talent pool by promoting and co-ordinating student placements
* Competitor analysis to ensure that Embrace offers the best employee experience.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recruitment or HR related qualification (essential).
* CIPD qualification or working towards membership (desirable).
* Knowledge of healthcare regulation and professional registration requirements (advantageous).
Experience
Essential
* At least 3 years' experience in recruitment or talent acquisition (essential).
* Track record of delivering high-volume or specialised recruitment campaigns. (Essential)
Desirable
* Familiarity with ATS platforms, job boards, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
* Previous experience in social care recruitment (Social care, nursing, allied health) desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
* Strong understanding of Irish employment law and recruitment compliance.
* Knowledge of HIQA/HSE workforce standards and social care staffing challenges.
* Skilled in interviewing and candidate assessment.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS.
