Job Overview

The role of a Chef de Partie is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service. This position requires an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, anticipating needs and improving standards to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

* Assist senior chefs in maintaining the highest standards of food purchasing, storage, preparation, and service.
* Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
* Ensure that all foodstuffs purchased meet the agreed quality standards.
* Anticipate dietary requirements and specific requests, ensuring that all guests' needs are met.

Responsibilities also include reporting any faults in kitchen equipment, fixtures, and fittings to senior chefs. The successful candidate will ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and prepare staff meals that are balanced and nutritious, as agreed with management.

Additional duties may include addressing customer complaints by promptly reporting them to senior chefs or general management and taking reasonable care for the health and safety of oneself and others.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess previous experience in a similar position within a professional kitchen. A culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred, along with knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.


Benefits:

This full-time (39 hour) position offers 20 days annual leave per year and staff meals. Successful candidates will also have opportunities for training sessions and meetings to enhance their skills and knowledge.


Skills:

Candidates should possess strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in food safety regulations, menu planning, and inventory control is also highly desirable.
