Health, Safety & Environment & Manager Operations
My client, an EPC Company specialising in Powerplant developments, has a role for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Operations Manager.
The HSET supports the Director of Environmental Health and Safety in the efficient management and administration of the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS). This role provides daily support across both active sites and corporate operations, ensuring all EHS and Training requirements are met while maintaining direct engagement with the workforce and subcontractors. The HSET advisor also helps promote a proactive safety culture and ensures compliance with statutory, client, and company standards.
Responsibilities
Identify training needs through consultation with managers, supervisors, and HR.
Develop and maintain an annual training plan and schedule.
Coordinate internal and external training programmes, ensuring availability of trainers, venues, and materials.
Ensure training aligns with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Ensure all mandatory and regulatory training requirements are met (e.g., safety training, technical competencies).
Verify and file trainer credentials, training provider approvals, and subcontractor training documentation.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate training compliance data.
Qualifications
A degree qualification is essential with experience within heavy industry projects (Oil/Gas/Infrastructure) and MIOSH affiliation.
