Job Title: Commercial Lead - Pharmacist Location: Beacon Pharmacy Beacon Mall, Dublin 18 Reporting to: Pharmacy Manager Job Purpose The Commercial Lead - Pharmacist is responsible for the strategic growth and financial performance of Beacon Pharmacy retail service.
The role will drive business growth in line with the retail Pharmacys business plan, ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care alongside strong commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Commercial & Business Leadership Lead the development and execution of the retail pharmacy business plan.
Drive revenue growth through prescription capture, private services, and retail optimisation.
Identify and implement new income streams.
Monitor KPIs including revenue, margin, cost control, and script volumes.
Optimise pricing in line with market conditions and reimbursement frameworks.
Service Development & Innovation Identify opportunities to expand retail pharmacy services.
Lead implementation of new services lines, projects and care pathways.
Use data and insights to inform decision-making and growth strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with key stakeholders: Finance, Procurement, and commercial teams.
Engage with external stakeholders including wholesalers and pharma companies.
Customer Service & Patient Care Deliver a high standard of customer service and patient-centred care.
Build strong relationships with patients, healthcare professionals.
Handle complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
Requires high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective service.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate flexibility when required by their manager.

Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented, maintained, and regularly reviewed.
Maintaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with PSI rules and in compliance with Pharmacy Act 2007.
Person Specification Essential Registered Pharmacist with PSI, experience in high-volume pharmacy settings.
Demonstrated commercial awareness and business acumen.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage own workload.
Experience managing budgets and financial performance.
Desirable Experience in retail pharmacy operations.
Experience with service development or business growth initiatives.
Postgraduate qualification in management/business (or working towards).
