Speech and Language Therapist Medforce are happy to be looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties, as part of an interdisciplinary team within the Primary Care setting in Kildare.
Responsibilities of Speech and Language Therapist Deliver timely and comprehensive paediatric speech and language therapy services in line with HSE Primary Care strategy.
Conduct assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for children with a range of developmental speech and language needs.
Provide therapy across home, clinic, preschool, and school settings as appropriate.
Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain up-to-date clinical records and documentation in accordance with HSE standards.
Participate in service planning, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to therapy assistants and students (if applicable).
Attend team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary planning sessions.
Engage in CPD activities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and protocols including safeguarding and data protection.
Requirements of Speech and Language Therapist A recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification approved by CORU.
Current registration with the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
Clinical experience in paediatric caseloads either during training or post-qualification.
Understanding of child development, speech and language disorders, and therapeutic approaches (e.g.
Hanen, Lmh, PECS, etc.).
