Job Title:
Chief Operations Officer
Our organization is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Operations Officer to lead the management of our operational, financial, and administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
* Accounting and Compliance:
o Manage daily accounts operations ensuring accurate records and compliance with regulations.
o Liaise with accountants and bookkeepers to ensure seamless financial operations.
o Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate credit control processes.
* Operational Leadership:
o Conduct regular meetings with fee earners to review work-in-progress and targets.
o Prepare monthly forecasts and cash flow analysis for senior management.
o Calculate annual bonuses for fee earners based on performance.
* HR and Staff Management:
o Supervise and support secretarial and administrative staff in their roles.
o Oversee recruitment, training, and induction processes to ensure a high-performing team.
o Manage staff resourcing and holiday/sick leave records.
* Facilities and IT Oversight:
o Evaluate office facilities and equipment to ensure they meet business needs.
o Manage maintenance contracts and liaise with service providers.
o Oversee IT infrastructure, website content, and case management systems to ensure seamless business operations.
* Communications and Marketing:
o Maintain internal communication processes and document security protocols.
o Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance the organization's online presence.
o Coordinate social events and external communications to promote the organization's brand.
Requirements:
* Hold an accounting qualification with at least 3 years of experience in a dual finance and operations role.
* Experience in a legal practice is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrated staff management experience.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with case management systems.
* Discreet, professional, and capable of working independently.
