Product Specialist – Endoscopy

Dublin

Our client is a sales, marketing and technical services company whose purpose is to deliver products and solutions that assist healthcare providers in achieving optimum clinical outcomes. They are a high‑growth company that aims to be the partner of choice for global healthcare suppliers.

In this role you will be required to increase sales volume and revenue through medical device capital equipment product sales year‑on‑year while maintaining strong customer relations and increasing market share. The main product focus will centre on capital endoscopy equipment and some consumables. To succeed you must be able to build a network of KOLs/advocates in endoscopy, fostering strong relationships to grow market share within the Greater Dublin and Ireland territory.

Role/Responsibilities

* Achieve company sales, profit margins and product targets for the area.
* Maintain strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures, product range, technical specifications, pricing, features, benefits, clinical applications and sales strategies.
* Present capital equipment, consumables and services to clinicians, unit managers and nursing staff.
* Educate customers (and team members) on practical features, benefits, handling, new technologies and techniques used in equipment operation.
* Develop territory plans to achieve sales and promotional targets.
* Maintain and report daily sales activity, account records, expenses and other administration required by the company and manager.
* Maximise territory sales opportunities through a business plan.
* Review territory performance with manager regularly and produce required monthly reports.
* Scan for and report on competitor activity within the territory.
* Promote and support nurse study days, exhibitions and workshops on the territory.
* Continuously develop product knowledge and skills through self‑development and ensure all company‑sponsored training is implemented.
* Show excellent communication skills, adjusting communication style to suit the audience and gain buy‑in.
* Assist with marketing, research and product launches for endoscopy procedures when necessary.
* Understand financial operations, purchasing and funding practices of each client group.
* Influence, develop and negotiate with financial representatives (directors, procurement, business unit managers) to close sales effectively and within profit margins/targets.


Experience / Education

* Degree in Business/Science.
* Strong sales history and/or clinical procedure knowledge in the hospital setting—preferably within endoscopy.
* Capital sales experience is a distinct advantage.
* Professional skills: sales and territory analysis, budget management, presentation skills.
* Ability to meet frequently with customers and decision makers.
* Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territory.
* Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Excellent organisational skills and a strong personal drive.
* Full clean driver’s licence.
