Concrete Products and Aggregates - Kilfeacle, Co. Tipperary
Our Concrete Products and Aggregates business is a high performance and profitable business unit supporting our Irish customers. At Kilsaran, we are trusted by businesses and contractors alike to produce quality construction materials that are fundamental in the creation of our national infrastructure, including large commercial buildings, domestic and agricultural construction, office blocks and major road networks.
We are currently looking for an experienced Plant Fitter based at our location in Kilfeacle, Co. Tipperary. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the maintenance, repair and servicing of site plant and processing equipment in an efficient and safety driven manner.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance, repair and servicing of fixed & mobile plant and ancillary machinery.
Implementation of a plant wide preventative maintenance programme.
Diagnosing Breakdowns and return equipment to service in a timely manner, minimising downtime.
Component rebuilds and testing, monitor and record spare part usage.
Demonstrate a lead by example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety, be fully compliant with Company Health & Safety: policies, procedures, systems and rules, report all hazards and incidents and ensure that you work safely at all times.
Skills Required:
Time Served Trade or relevant experience in a mechanical discipline.
Welding and Fabrication skills highly advantageous.
1 Years minimum within relevant industry (quarry, sand & gravel, concrete, crushed stone, recycling or waste processing).
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Practical knowledge of tooling and specialized equipment to conduct repairs on heavy equipment
Practical knowledge of rigging, slinging and jacking procedures
Strong planning and organizational mindset with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
