South Dublin County Council is one of four local authorities in the Dublin region. The Council’s administrative area is 223 square kilometres, bounded by Dublin city to the northeast, the Dublin Mountains and County Wicklow to the south, the River Liffey to the north separating it from Fingal, and County Kildare to the west. Within that area is a population of 301,075 people living in the county, over 6,500 businesses and a significant economic, social and cultural infrastructure to serve a growing capital city region. The Corporate Plan provides the vision and strategic direction for the Council over a five-year period and sets out the ambition to make the county a vibrant and inclusive place for all the people who live, visit, work and do business here. As the council for South Dublin County, we strive to be a people-first, proactive organisation that serves all of our communities today and for the future.
