Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm in the Longford area on the appointment of a Buyer ideally with a Construction or Engineering industry background.

Responsibilities in your new role:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing suppliers negotiating best price & lead times whilst continually monitoring performance
* Oversee the phased-in purchasing of all materials within the company
* Demonstrate and implement cost-saving initiatives for major expenditures
* Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all purchasing information
* Generate and provide requested reports, including quarterly spend reports and monthly KPI reports
* Forecast price trends in the market and analyse their potential impact on future procurement activities
What you will need to succeed:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement or buying role.
* A recognised qualification in procurement or a related field
* IT proficiency
