The Business Analyst leads the management of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and a range of business analysis activities across Networks and Generation workstreams for the Centre of Engineering incorporating dashboard development, system automation and performance reporting.
This requires strong technical skills to retrieve, analyze, and extract insightful information from complex datasets as well as strong stakeholder management to support resource planning, capacity management and cost management.

In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure and empowering clients, you will enable EMP Programme Management to support and monitor the delivery status of the Centre of Engineering Networks and Generation work programmes and facilitate the delivery of integrated business planning for EMP.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop reporting systems and data visualisation tools for EMP Programme Management and its stakeholders to continuously drive cost management process improvements and optimization of work programme delivery
• Manage existing systems and tools by performing quality assurance on logic, data linkages and automations to ensure accurate data is available to all stakeholders
• Develop, support and maintain business analysis processes required to support the delivery of Networks and Generation workstream activities by the Centre of the Engineering.
• Perform analysis required to support the delivery of integrated business planning for EMP
• Lead regular performance reporting on Centre of Engineering work programme delivery
• Engage with a range of key stakeholders across engineering, scheduling, IT and Finance functions to deliver best quality of service while balancing business needs and technical limitations.
• Support required system transitions to new Microsoft environments and transition of existing PowerBI dashboards into online systems
Experience and Qualifications Essential
• A relevant 3rd Level qualification is essential
• 3+ years PQE
• High level of experience in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), supporting programme management functions for capital projects
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL (Structured Query Language).
• Expert knowledge of MS Excel and Sharepoint applicants
• A strong capability in business data analysis and report preparation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and change management skills
• A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to ESB's safety, time, quality and cost objectives.

Location
The position is flexible, based in ESB Engineering & Major Project Offices in Dublin Airport Central or Eastgate, Little Island, Cork.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week.
All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

EMP Programme Manager, Programme Management, Engineering and Major Projects.
