About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Operator to join Services department at our Kerry Dairy Ireland site in Listowel, Co. Kerry.
This is a full-time, seasonal opportunity where your primary responsibility will be to maintain the highest standards of site hygiene and cleanliness. While the core schedule is Monday to Friday during daytime hours, flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, during periods of increased demand.
In this role, you will receive comprehensive training to become fully competent in operation of the site's Water Treatment Plant and other key plant areas. We are looking for a motivated individual with a background in manufacturing who is comfortable working independently and can manage a variety of routine and ad-hoc tasks. What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities as a Services Operator will include:
* Operating forklifts and handling materials, including loading, unloading, and managing waste.
* Monitoring and maintaining waste handling equipment and consumable stock levels for treatment plants.
* Cleaning and maintaining yard, roof, and work areas to high standards.
* Operating the Water Treatment Plant and related equipment.
* Conducting and recording laboratory analyses and maintaining accurate records.
* Ensuring equipment checks, safety compliance, and environmental standards are met.
* Coordinating with contractors for waste collection and managing chemical supplies for cooling towers.
* Performing confined space cleaning, leak testing, and other assigned duties as needed.
