GPT is part of The Briggs Equipment Group, a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.We have an exciting new opportunity for a self-motivated, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a key role focused on growing our customer base and maximising the utilisation of our commerical fleet.In this role you will be:Identifying and developing new customer relationships for both short- and long-term hire services across the GPT network, aiming to optimise fleet utilisation.Working with Branch Managers and Hire Controllers at each location to meet customer requirements and uphold service standards on a daily basis.Delivering on volume targets for short- and long-term hire contractManaging your route planning to ensure efficient coverage and engagement with your customer base.Identify business opportunities through research of industry trends, events, publications, and relevant announcements.Developing effective negotiation strategies by assessing risks and anticipating customer requirements.Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of appropriate, high-quality products and services.What will help you to excel in this role:Previous experience with sales, business development or account management.Proven record in a problem-solving role and customer-focused approach.Knowledge of or experience within the commercial vehicle or hire industry is desirable.Customer service focussed with excellent communication and organisational skills.Full, clean driving licence with a willingness to travel.What you can expect from us:Competitive salaryCommissionCompany vehicleFuture development and career opportunitiesContributory pension scheme with employer contributions up to 6%HSF Health plan schemeWhat's nextIf you are interested in joining Briggs Equipment Group, then please click on the apply now button and a member of the team will be in touch.Not sure if this is the right role for you?
